WoW Forever Hardcore: What Blizzard Has Confirmed
WoW Forever Hardcore explained: where it appears on Blizzard's roadmap, what is not announced yet, and which rules need future verification.

Will WoW Forever have Hardcore?
Is Hardcore available at WoW Forever launch?
When does WoW Forever Hardcore release?
Will WoW Forever have Hardcore?
Yes. Blizzard has placed Hardcore on the future World of Warcraft: Forever roadmap, but it has not announced a specific release date or complete ruleset. The initial reveal treats Hardcore as later content rather than part of the core November 4 launch package.
For the dated milestones that are confirmed today, see the WoW Forever roadmap and release schedule.
Is Hardcore available on launch day?
The public roadmap does not list Hardcore among the launch-day features. Blizzard names it alongside later additions such as more raids, more dungeons, PvP updates, world content, additional quests and a revamped iconic raid.
That means a guide promising launch-day Hardcore access would be ahead of the official information. This page will change as soon as Blizzard gives Forever Hardcore its own schedule.
Players who want the announced launch systems can instead start with Legacy progression and Camping.
What are the WoW Forever Hardcore rules?
Blizzard has not published a dedicated Forever Hardcore ruleset in the initial announcement. It would be unsafe to copy rules from another WoW Hardcore product and assume every detail carries over unchanged.
Important questions still needing official answers include permanent-death handling, character transfers, grouping rules, dungeon lockouts, PvP interactions, resurrection exceptions, trading and any special rewards.
When those rules are announced, this page will separate official restrictions from practical player strategy and link into the relevant class guides and leveling routes.
Why does Hardcore fit WoW Forever?
Forever emphasizes an important leveling journey, dangerous travel, no level scaling and a world where preparation and social choices matter. Those design ideas naturally create a strong foundation for a Hardcore mode even before Blizzard explains the final rules.
The no flying and no level scaling guide explains the world constraints that could make Hardcore travel and route planning especially significant.
Will Hardcore use the same level-60 world?
Blizzard’s roadmap places Hardcore inside the Forever product, whose foundation is the expanded level 1–60 Azeroth. The studio has not announced a separate Hardcore continent or a different level cap.
However, exact server structure and character availability remain unconfirmed. Beta access in September does not automatically mean Hardcore itself will be available for testing during the first beta window.
Use the beta access guide for what Blizzard has actually announced about testing.
What should Hardcore players research before it launches?
The most reusable knowledge will be world knowledge: safe level ranges, dangerous travel corridors, dungeon entrances, class survival tools, quest chains and profession support.
The zone directory, dungeon directory, talents and abilities tracker, and systems hub are being structured so those details can later feed directly into Hardcore-specific route pages instead of starting from zero.
