What is changing about classes in WoW Forever?

Blizzard is treating classes as part of the game’s evergreen foundation rather than simply copying a historical patch. The stated direction is to keep each class recognizable and distinct while creating room for new options and long-term tuning.

That means this wiki will not assume that a Vanilla talent calculator is automatically correct for Forever. Exact trees and numbers will be checked against the beta build.

Start with the Skyborne race guide, then review the level-60 design and beta schedule.

Are there new race and class combinations?

Blizzard has confirmed expanded race/class possibilities as part of Forever’s character options. The exact creation-screen matrix will be added here after the beta begins so every combination can be verified rather than inferred from panel footage.

Will old class identity be removed?

The official design language points in the opposite direction. Forever is emphasizing class identity, preparation and cooperation. That is consistent with the broader philosophy of keeping the world dangerous and social rather than smoothing every class into the same toolkit.

What will this page add during beta?

Once the September 17 beta is available, expect verified sections for:

  • class and specialization structure;
  • talent trees and key breakpoints;
  • new, removed or changed abilities;
  • race/class combinations;
  • leveling builds;
  • dungeon and raid roles;
  • PvP-relevant changes.

Version-sensitive values will carry a review date rather than being presented as permanent launch truth.

Verification sources

A = first-party Blizzard material; B = direct beta/gameplay evidence; C = reputable secondary reporting used only when first-party detail is unavailable.
