What is the Camping system?

Camping lets players create campfires in the outdoor world so other adventurers can gather, contribute and share benefits. Blizzard introduced it as a deliberately social system that supports the journey through Azeroth rather than replacing world interaction with menus.

The official description says professions can contribute to campsites and that players can share campsite buffs.

Do professions matter for Camping?

Yes. Blizzard specifically says other players can contribute through professions. The exact professions, recipes, materials and contribution limits are not being treated as final until beta.

What buffs do campsites give?

The first official overview confirms shared campsite buffs but does not provide enough detail to publish a final buff table. Beta testing will be used to document effect names, values, duration, stacking rules and whether benefits vary by profession contribution.

Why is Camping important to Forever’s design?

Forever is trying to preserve chance meetings and reasons to stop in the world. A campfire that attracts nearby players, rewards profession contributions and creates a shared benefit fits that philosophy directly.
