What is Alcaz Prison in WoW Forever?

Alcaz Prison is an officially announced World of Warcraft: Forever dungeon and one of the nine new instances Blizzard revealed at BlizzCon 2026. The name is confirmed, while most mechanical details remain intentionally open until the beta build can be tested.

Where is Alcaz Prison located?

The dungeon name points to the Alcaz location familiar from original-era Azeroth, but Blizzard’s initial Forever recap does not publish a complete pre-beta access route or entrance coordinate for the dungeon.

This guide will add verified travel directions once the playable build establishes the entrance, nearby flight paths, faction access and any quest prerequisites. Until then, the site avoids turning historical map knowledge from another WoW version into a Forever-specific instruction.

That same verification rule applies to the City of Dalaran and Hall of Thanes guides.

What bosses are in Alcaz Prison?

The first official reveal does not include a complete Alcaz Prison boss roster. Boss names, phases, mechanics and tuning will be added after direct testing or Blizzard documentation ties them to the Forever build.

When beta data is available, each encounter section will focus on actionable information: dangerous casts, positioning, interrupts, tank swaps, dispels and wipe conditions rather than an unstructured ability dump.

What loot drops in Alcaz Prison?

No complete official loot table is published in the initial announcement. This wiki therefore does not copy item tables from another version of World of Warcraft and label them as Forever drops.

Verified items will be separated by boss, quest reward and other source once beta testing begins. Important pieces will also link into the leveling guide or raid preparation pages when their progression role is known.

When will this guide be expanded?

The first major expansion will happen after the September 17 beta makes the dungeon directly testable. Updates will carry a last-modified date and game-version label so early beta routes are not mistaken for launch-final information.
