When does the WoW Forever beta start?
The World of Warcraft: Forever beta starts September 17, 2026 and is scheduled to run through October 21, 2026. This is the first public testing window Blizzard has announced for the new permanent level-60 experience.
The beta arrives several weeks before the November 4 launch, giving Blizzard time to test class changes, quests, dungeons, systems, PvP and the expanded old world before release.
For the broader sequence after beta, see the WoW Forever roadmap.
Which purchases include WoW Forever beta access?
Blizzard’s announced upgrade lineup gives beta access to owners of the Skyborne Epic Pack and the Warcraft Forever Collection. The lower Skyborne Heroic Pack focuses on Skyborne access, cosmetics and Early Name Reservation rather than the announced guaranteed beta benefit.
If you are comparing packs only for access, read the WoW Forever price and subscription guide before purchasing. The base game at launch does not require one of these upgrades.
How do I know if my account has beta access?
Check the official Battle.net launcher and the World of Warcraft account tied to the purchase or invitation. A third-party website cannot grant beta access, activate an account, or verify an entitlement that Blizzard has not placed on your account.
Avoid sites that ask for Battle.net passwords, authentication codes or payment information in exchange for a beta key. This wiki will never distribute login credentials or claim to unlock beta access.
When the test becomes available, the Latest Updates page will track verified launcher and build information without publishing private account data.
What can players test in the beta?
Blizzard has announced a broad Forever feature set, including new and reimagined zones, more than 1,000 new quests, class changes, the Skyborne race, nine new dungeons, a new battleground and new systems such as Legacy progression and Camping.
The beta is where exact values become useful. Our talents and abilities tracker will record directly verifiable class changes, while the dungeon directory will expand with encounter and loot details only after they are seen in the current build.
Will beta progress carry into launch?
Blizzard’s announcement does not promise that beta character progress will carry into the November 4 live launch. Beta environments are testing spaces, and characters, items, quests or progress can be reset during testing.
Until Blizzard publishes a specific carry-over policy, plan around the safe assumption that beta progress is temporary. Use beta to learn systems, routes and classes rather than treating a test character as a permanent live character.
What should I test first for the most useful information?
Players building a launch plan should prioritize information that changes decisions: race/class availability, talent and ability changes, leveling routes, dungeon requirements, profession interactions, PvP rules and the new long-term systems.
Start with the Skyborne race guide, race and class combinations, leveling and 1,000+ quests guide, and systems directory.
Is beta information final?
No. Values and mechanics observed in a beta build can change before launch. That is why this wiki marks pre-release pages with a game-version label and a last-reviewed date instead of treating every screenshot as permanent truth.
For stable, first-party information, use What Is WoW Forever? and the official roadmap summary. Beta-only numbers will be updated or removed as builds change.
