What is Darkspear Islands?

Darkspear Islands is a new 15-versus-15 battleground announced for World of Warcraft: Forever. Blizzard places it off the coast of Kalimdor and describes a mixed objective structure rather than a simple deathmatch.

The battleground combines strategic control points with Arathi Basin-style flag capture and defense.

What are the objectives?

Blizzard has confirmed the broad structure—control points plus flag capture/defense—but has not yet published the full scoring model in the material used for this pre-beta page.

Once beta begins, this guide will add:

• map and spawn layout;
• objective locations;
• scoring rules;
• resurrection points;
• useful class roles;
• honor and reputation rewards, if present;
• common opening strategies.

Is Darkspear Islands available at launch?

It is part of the announced Forever PvP content. Exact queue requirements, brackets and unlock timing will be verified against the beta/client before being treated as final.

Will Forever get more PvP content?

Yes. Blizzard’s roadmap explicitly mentions additional PvP updates after launch, alongside more raids, dungeons, world content and quests.
